| Outreach training activity in Erdenet city |
On 11-12 April 2007 Dairy Project team organised an outreach training course on “Establishing Milk Producers Organisation and Clean milk production” at Extension centre office of Aimag Food and Agriculture Agency of Erdenet city in Orkhon aimag. Training involved 43 representatives from Aimag Administration Office, Professional Inspection Office and farm owners.
The objective of the training was to liaise “Erdenet khaan suu” Company, established in February 2007 in Erdenet city and with the capacity of processing 5-10 tonnes of milk per day, with nearby located herders and farm owners, to explain about proper milk handling at household and farm levels, to teach the ways how to produce quality dairy products which meet hygienic requirements without loosing milk quality and to supply consumers of Erdenet city. Also during the training 10 farm owners and more were convinced to conclude contract with “Erdenet Khaan suu” to supply their milk to Company’s processing plant.
